Best climbing memories:

  • Any day climbing with folks with the right attitude (low egos, high fun factor)

  • Attending the International Climber?s Meet in Wales and having Brits teach me how to stay up late and still stomach climbing on the formidable sea cliffs of Gogarth.

  • Climbing under the canopy of Yellow Wall as it rains everywhere else. No crowds, just the sound of the rain and the birds.

  • Guiding in the rain

  • My first desert tower with awesome strangers from SLC (DB?s forever!)

  • Holed up in Jackson as winter sets in working on Mountain Yodel.

  • Developing a crag I found in Northwestern Wyoming.

  • Guiding gregarious groups of gals in the Gunks (NH and NV too).

Favorite word: Hope

Favorite thing about climbing: The way it humbles you. The way it centers you. The excuse to get outdoors. The people you meet.
