The Cosmic is a one-size-fits-all harness that features the same geometry as our regular harnesses. You put it on and use the belay/rappel loop in the same manner as you would on our Eldo or Diamond Harnesses, so there’s no need to learn a different system when you change harnesses. Great for ski mountaineering, glacier travel, clubs, gyms, rental programs or just to have around when a friend drops in. Non-padded.

How do I know when to retire my harness?

Indoor use:
Less than 10 days per month - Retire in 3 years
More than 10 days per month - Retire in 1 year

Outdoor Use:
Less than 10 days per month - Retire in 2 years
More than 10 days per month - Retire in 1 year.

Of course these are guidelines only. You must pay attention to the conditions under which you climb and constantly inspect the harness for signs of frayed webbing, blown stitching and "crispy" webbing that has been exposed to too much sun. Be especially vigilant of the areas where you tie in the rope, the belay loop and the webbing around the buckles. There are the places that see the most abrasion and abuse.
